Hunter by Night release day!

HBN_FB4bI’m so relieved and excited about Hunter by Night’s release I could ugly-cry. I think release is a good word, because you put so much work into writing, re-writing, and then editing and polishing a book before it finally gets out in the world, that to finally see it in the light of day does take a huge weight off.

It’s a big deal, and it’s something worth of celebration. This particular book is special to me, because Lee and Alexia have been waiting so long for their HEA, and because I’m wrapping up a series I love so much. So I wanted to do an extra awesome prize giveaway, something to celebrate past, present, and future.

Past: I stopped reading romance for a long time. When I started again, I was drawn to vampires, and it was Lara Adrian and JR Ward that made me fall in love with romance again. So much that I didn’t want to read it, but write my own.

Present: The Chronicles of Yavn and Hunter by Night would be my present. That probably goes without saying. 🙂

Future: There’s a lot of talk about paranormal being dead. About vampires being dead. Well I’m hear to tell you the genre is alive and well and as hot as ever. So long as authors keep putting new twists on the mythology there will be readers to soak up the books. Also, while I was writing vampires I wan’t reading vampires. Now I can again. I recently picked up fellow Paranormal Unbounder Amber Belldene’s Blood Vine, and totally fell in love with the intelligent writing and rich worldbuilding.

In celebration of Hunter by Night’s release, I want to share these things with you.

So check it: I’ve got some fun prizes for my release, to represent the past, present, and future of vampire romance (as it exists in my little corner of the world). 1) A Kindle or Nook copy of Blood Vine by Amber Belldene , 2) A paperback copy of Hunter by Night  and 3) a Signed copy of JR Ward’s Lover Awakened (I think – I got this as a gift for someone ages ago via a virtual signing and then it wound up getting lost in my office so one lucky winner gets to benefit. I don’t want to open it and check for sure, but I’m pretty sure it’s Z’s book inside the wrapping).

So thank you for checking out Hunter by Night, and for stopping by to enter the giveaway! Also, please remember that honest reviews are appreciated and they not only help us authors by either propping up our self-esteem (or occasionally making us feel suicidal, which in turn helps our mental health professionals), but they also help your fellow readers. I also totally dig those animated gifs people post. They make me smile. Just sayin’.

You readers make me smile every day though, just by being you. Thanks for making me smile, guys. 😉

HBN_FB4aAbout Hunter by Night:

She wants out

Party girl Alexia Blackburn is only hanging around the vampire compound until her best friend—the queen—has her baby. After that, nothing is going to stop Alexia from getting back to daylight, safety, and feeling like a normal human being. But leaving the vampire world has one big catch…

He needs her to stay

Head of vampire security Lee Goram has hated and distrusted humans for centuries. Feeding on vampire blood has kept him strong…but now it’s killing him—and he’s horrified to discover that Alexia may hold the key to his cure. He’d rather die defending his king than admit his weakness, but time is running out for the great vampire warrior…
