Interview Rewind: Get cozy with Thad and Isabel from King of Darkness

Elisabeth Staab King of Darkness

Back when King of Darkness released, I first became buddies with a blogger named Jillian (you know her, you love her) who at the time wrote for a groovy paranormal blog called Dahrk Portal. She wrote a lovely review of King of Darkness, and very kindly sat down to interview Thad and Isabel. She has since moved on to have her own very successful Read-Love-Blog blog. Three years later, she has dug up the original character interview with Thad and Isabel from King of Darkness! You can find it here.

Many thanks to Jillian for finding this great bit of nostalgia  – I’d lost my copy since the computer on which it had been typed had long ago gone to the great electronics bin in the sky. And thanks to all of you for checking it out, I hope you enjoy!

Happy holidays and happy reading!

Coming Soon: One Week

Awesome news – Since the delay of Hunter by Night I’ve gotten a lot of questions about when I would be able to release something new, and with family obligations and whatnot I’ve been hesitant to commit to an answer. BUT I finally feel good about announcing that I will have a new contemporary romance coming out in mid-January. It’ll be a short, category length novel, an office romance, old lovers reuniting, and I’m very, very excited about this one. It’s different than anything I’ve written before, but very much me all the same.

About One Week:

Michael Hale’s company is in jeopardy. In the wake of his father’s death and his transition to CEO, projects are circling the drain and that could cost him everything. Come to find out, the consultant hired to fix things is the “one who got away” many years ago. This time he’s playing for keeps, and he intends to win.

Elise Jackson swore she wouldn’t come near Michael Hale again. He sucker punched her professionally, and he broke her heart. Still, a job’s a job, and they can both be adults. But high emotion and late nights working lead to passion neither of them can deny.

They have one week. Can the two of them pull Michael’s company out of the fire and heal their old wounds?

Please do check out the blurb below, and if you’re so inclined, add it to your Goodreads To-read shelf! Also, I’m gonna be doing a big cover reveal on January second, and if you’ve got blog space on which you’re willing to share the cover, I’d be honored.  Viviana, blog tour mistress extraordinaire, has a groovy signup sheet right here.

Would you like a digital ARC to review One Week when they are available, please sign up here! All I ask is that you review thoughtfully. Honesty is appreciated, but snarky reviews kill kittens, yanno? I offer you big squishy virtual hugs in advance for taking the time to check out One Week. <3

SO…whatcha reading?

Okay I’m big time braindead lately, folks. I posted this like a week ago but accidentally made it a new page/tab thingie at the top instead of a blog post. I win at all the awesomeness, ever.  *tosses confetti*

I don’t know about everybody else but for me it’s officially become the time of year when ALL I want to do is cuddle under my blankets with coffee and a good book.

Oh, TBR pile. I miss you, too.

So actually I’m not reading much right now except for pouring over the line edits for Hunter by Night, which I have been working through for the last couple of weeks. But. Prior to that, I’d gotten on a paranormal YA kick, and I was pretty psyched about that. I’m still kind of discovering YA, and I got a little overwhelmed by the contemporary stuff–some of it is fabulous, but so dark, so when I came across some really awesome paranormal YA I was totally hooked. I just finished Sweet Evil and Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins, which I totally loved. I can’t wait for book three. Also, I just found The Poison Princess. Everybody has been telling me this book is awesome so I think I may dive into this one after I’m done with my edits for Hunter by Night.

(BSP alert: Speaking of a bargain, King of Darkness is still on sale at a reduced price, if you didn’t snatch it while it was on sale for $1.99 you can grab it for a limited time at $2.99, which is still a couple of bucks off the usual price. No, it’s not YA, but it’ll still keep you warm when the weather gets chilly. :))

So what’s your go-to genre when the weather gets cold? I know a lot of folks are picking up holiday stuff. If so you may want to check out my friend Robin Covington’s Secret Santa Baby which is on sale now for 99 cents. A guaranteed win.

Happy reading!
